The 7th School of the Hellenic Phlebological Society was held on 27–28 February in Arachova, constituting a high-level scientific event dedicated to recent advances in aesthetic phlebology and venous thrombosis.
The meeting brought together a significant number of physicians from various specialties, including vascular surgeons, dermatologists, internists, and general practitioners, with the primary aim of promoting scientific knowledge and continuing medical education in the field of venous disorders. Particular emphasis was placed on a multidisciplinary approach and on the integration of recent research findings into everyday clinical practice.
The scientific programme included specialized lectures and thematic sessions covering a broad range of topics, such as the pathophysiology of chronic venous insufficiency, modern diagnostic approaches using Doppler ultrasound, and minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of varicose veins and telangiectasias (endovenous thermal ablation, sclerotherapy, tissue adhesives).
In addition, recent clinical guidelines on the diagnosis, prevention, and management of venous thrombosis were thoroughly discussed, with a focus on risk stratification and individualized treatment strategies.
Of particular interest were the practical workshops and case-based presentations, which enabled participants to engage with real diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. These interactive sessions enhanced scientific discussion and facilitated the exchange of experience between participants and faculty members.
Overall, the 7th School of the Hellenic Phlebological Society reaffirmed its role as a comprehensive educational and scientific platform, contributing substantially to the improvement of clinical practice and the quality of healthcare delivery in the field of phlebology.
